BREAKING NEWS: Midwest Manufacturing Growth Slower than Expected in December

The Institute for Supply Management-Chicago's gauge of manufacturing activity in the Midwest region fell to 58.3 in December from 60.8 the month prior. Wall Street expected a shallower drop to 60.1. Readings above 50 point to expansion, while those below indicate contraction.
