BREAKING NEWS: Wall Street Pares Losses at the Closing Bell

After a deep selloff earlier in the session fueled by global growth concerns and weaker-than-expected U.S. retail sales data, Wall Street ended the day well off its lows. According to preliminary calculations, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 187 points lower, or 1.07% at 17426. The S&P 500 shed 11 points, or 0.58% at 2011, while the Nasdaq ended down 22 points, or 0.48% to 4639.
